Tonight's Online Update...

Ok, so as I have said elsewhere and to many others, I have been hiding from the internet for the past month. The past 6 months have been busy with online stuff and now I am so tired and bored of it all. For most of this month I have been reading basically all escapist literature. I tend to read many books and things at the same time. So I've had lots of diversity, but the main reading material this month has been Laurell K Hamiliton's Anita Blake series. I started with Guilty Pleasures just before my birthday and last night started Narcissus in Chains. But I haven't been totally in order for the reading cuz when I finished Obsidian Butterfly a couple of days ago I switched to LKH's newest release The Harlequin. I finished that last night and picked up NiC before I went to bed. Been reading NiC today, but then decided to go online for a bit and blog and chat for a while.

TV is boring so I've been watching/listening to Season 1 of Inuyasha all day. :D I watch some TV but mostly its on for sound and movement, but anime night last night was good, my main reason to watch TV really, and now they have some on Saturday nights too. So all it good.

Tomorrow I am supposed to be dancing for Canada Day, but I am not sure if I am up to it. Fell down the stairs last night (well fell on one step and then slid two) when I should have been going to bed (was heading down to get The Harlequin so I could put it away and get the next book going), that'll teach me to blow on a bug on the wall in the dark to see if its a moth.....long story. But that is mostly due to the dizziness I have been suffering, I am just worried I will fall off the stage. We shall see what tomorrow brings when I wake up, and if I have to cancel I will.
Econoline Crush is playing at the Sandfly Festival tomorrow night and I am hoping to catch that free concert, I dance in the afternoon so I have time to go home, cool off, take a nap, etc before I have that event. And when EC is done it will be fireworks time! This will be the first Canada Day I haven't worked in years! It'll be cool to be in the park for the the works.

I've been doing some work in my yard, the root veggies and mint plants are doing well, just need to get my lettuce and spinach going. Running out of time. LOL The gazebo is standing still so that is a great thing. The weather has been hot the past couple of weeks but that is to be expected since summer is officially here. It hasn't been dry yet really, but that will come in July, not crazy about that but what can I do other than move to a different area of the country. I am soooo not moving right now.

I really want to get back to work but my last chemo treatment was only on Tuesday. Yay! But there is still the little matter of radiation treatments to do before I can return to work. I am so tired of being broke, bored and bummed! LOL I am not as sick this time as I was last time, thank all thats holy for that!!! But I am dizzy and tired this week and that makes it rough. Oh, and if you haven't noticed, my thoughts are all over the place too....

So on that note I am going to go relax on the couch, watch/listen to the TV and read some more of Narcissus in Chains. Or maybe I will finally get dressed and go sit on the deck for a bit and read there.....its cooler outside that in right now since I didn't turn the A/C on today. Yeah I think that's what I will do, and take the cat outside with me too, she'll like that.

Happy Birthday to me!

Today is my birthday. I feel old and yet not.

It would be better today if I wasn't so affected by my most recent chemo treatment (it was on Monday). But at least it isn't worse, cuz it could always be worse.

So far the gazeebo is holding up and I am very thankful for that. Have enjoyed some good times out there so far. Had company on the long weekend and we sat out there for a bit and enjoyed the bugscreening goodness that it possesses. Jill and her hubby Matt were wonderful to hang with. We had a good time in town and in Elkwater. The mead I finally got to taste was great, have to get my hands a some more I guess. :D

Got a bunch of cards for my bday, phone calls, some I missed and will have to make up. Some people, who will remain nameless didn't call, so that bites....lol

Now I need to get my birthday present for myself, my aunt sent me some money to treat myself and I think I will go get LKH's new book since it came out yesterday. :D Yay!!!!!!

I danced at Spectrum this weekend, it was good. Danced both on Sat and Sun, can't wait to see the DVD. Lots of quick changing again, but whatever. LOL It was still a fun time.

Also had an appointment with the radiologist in Calgary on the 1st. Looks like radiation will be long again, not happy about that. But hopefully the lack of A/C won't kill me up there, it will be the hottest month of the year when I am up there, not impressed. I have to wait for an MRI before they will set it up as they want to take a look at things to see where all they may be wanting to radiate this time. Super fun. Atavan and me will be friends that day. LOL

Well that is really all I have to say today, it was a quite rainy day just the way I like it. Glad I got such a beautiful birthday. :D
